       ETEC 643 provides me a fundamental knowledge and skills to conduct an instructional research. According to my previous experiences, research process should takes a relatively long time to finished. However, I was very surprised that I can done this project within a quarter. In this course, I learned how to start a research project with a research topic that makes me feel interested in. Afterward, I started to think about my research question and choose the sampling for my research. Data collection and analysis are the parts that I felt most impressed. My project is to examine the effectiveness of the mobile study tool--Quizlet. This is the first time I prepared and organized everything by myself, which include prepared pre and post test, provide instruction to participants, conduct the data analysis via excel and so on. I learned and implemented so much in this course and I believed it will has a great influence for my future instructional technology studies.

  

   1.Research question:

      1 ) Does use of Quizlet improve college student's terminology quiz score? (Quantitative)

      2 ) What are college student's perception of using Quizlet comparing to the traditional way of learning terminology? (Qualitative)

   

   2.Methodology:  Mixed-method explanatory sequential research

   

   3.Result and Conclusion:   the result shows that most of the students got improvement after using the mobile study tool--Quizlet. However, they all have their own personal preferences for the way to study terminology.
